PBMC and BMMC
BMMC viable, cryopreserved: bone marrow aspirate is collected into EDTA BD Vacutainer tubes and BMMCs are isolated using Ficoll-Paque PLUS (Amersham Biosciences) standard procedure or SepMateTM tubes (STEMCELL Technologies). Viability of cells is confirmed using the Countess™ II Automated Cell Counter; BMMCs are then slowly frozen in cell freezing medium (10% DMSO, 90 % FCS). Frozen specimens are stored in LN2 and shipped on dry ice.
PBMC viable, cryopreserved: whole blood is collected into EDTA BD Vacutainer tubes and PBMCs are isolated using Ficoll-Paque PLUS (Amersham Biosciences) standard procedure or SepMateTM tubes (STEMCELL Technologies). Viability of cells is confirmed using the Countess™ II Automated Cell Counter; PBMCs are then slowly frozen in cell freezing medium (10% DMSO, 90 % FCS). Frozen specimens are stored in LN2 and shipped on dry ice.
Viable PBMC and BMMC specimens could be used for functional studies in Hematology-Oncology (biomarker investigation, target engagement, drug sensitivity studies, ADCC assay). CMS provides full range of services and can support your studies with these samples.
