Comprehensive Biospecimen Processing Protocols

As a part of Cureline Group, CMS provides access to biospecimen acquisition (www.cureline.com) and translational histopathology (www.curelinebiopathology.com). Animal and human preclinical and clinical Tissue Processing services will be performed in collaboration with Cureline Biopathology LLC . CBP is a translational research histopathology laboratory located in Brisbane, CA. For all human biospecimens processed through our group, we provide an H&E slide and a detailed pathology report from a US-board certified medical pathologist (additional fees apply). Animal tissue can be examined by a DVM pathologist with an extensive expertise in animal toxicology

Human and Animal Tissue Processing

  • Tissue grossing and processing (for fresh and fixed tissues)
  • Paraffin and OCT embedding (tissues and cell pellets)
  • Preparation of tissue slides (paraffin blocks, OCT blocks, frozen tissues)
  • Preparation of human tissue TMA (FFPE) from tissues and cell pellets
  • Clinical trial tissue processing (standard and custom protocols)

Human and Animal Tissue Analysis

  • H&E and special (clinical) stains
  • Immunohistochemistry (IHC), standard protocols
  • Development of custom IHC protocols using the DAKO instrumentation system
  • Digital pathology: high-resolution whole slide scan, image analysis
  • Comprehensive pathology report provided by the US board-certified MD pathologists
  • Proteomics biomarker studies

Digital imaging and analysis is available for an additional fee. We work on the 3D-Histech scanner for HD full slide tissue image and use VisioPharm or HALO software.
